Two of the many things I appreciated about my friend Cynthia was her attention to details and her remarkable memory- she didn’t forget a thing. I could tell her a story, not mention it for years, bring it up and she’d know exactly what I was talking about. Her parting energy to me was all about that. Although I had not mentioned it to her for a long long time, she new that I had an emotional connection with my long deceased younger sister that manifested as roses. roses and that annually some form of unexpected rose would enter my life. So far this year, no roses. Until a few days after Cynthia passed. Katherine brought me something she said her mother wanted me to have: vintage (of course), kind of tacky / kind of cool: a giant spray of metal roses, painted dusty rose and sage green. My heart sang and cried. I love Cynthia and miss her ❤️
In 2011, I had my first child and found out the day after he was born that he has Down syndrome. Katherine called me and told me her mom, Cynthia, said that he’s lucky to have me as his mom. Her words were helpful on a hard day. I will never forget her kindness.
